Dave Miller

Dave Miller

Dr. Dave Miller is a graduate of Lubbock Christian University, where he earned a B.A. degree in speech and Bible. He earned his M.A. degree in speech communication from Texas Tech University, and his M.Div. and M.A.R. from the Harding School of Theology. He also is a graduate of Southern Illinois University, where he earned his Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Public Address.
For over 40 years, he has served in various capacities for churches of Christ, including pulpit preacher, director of a school of preaching, and host of a nationally televised program which airs on GBN (gbntv.org).Presently serving as the Executive Director of Apologetics Press, Dr. Miller has authored numerous articles and books, including The Quran Unveiled, Sexual Anarchy, Piloting the Strait, The Silencing of God, Christ and the Continental Congress, Why People Suffer, and a series of books that teach children how to read.
He conducts 40+ speaking engagements a year, including weekend seminars, lectureships, and Gospel meetings.


Jeff Miller

Jeff Miller

Dr. Jeff Miller graduated Summa Cum Laude with honors at Freed-Hardeman University, receiving an earned B.S. degree in Physical Science with minors in Bible, French, and Mathematics, and an earned B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). His academic honors included membership in several honor societies, including Pi Tau Sigma Mechanical Engineering Honor Society, Golden Key International Honor Society, Alpha Chi National Honor Society, and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
He also earned M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Biomechanical Engineering from UTA and Auburn University, respectively, with emphases in Thermodynamics and Bio-thermal Science, Bio-transport Phenomena, Biomechanics, and Navigation and Control of Biological Systems. While at Auburn University, he also instructed courses in Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, and Heat Transfer, as well as Statics and Dynamics.
Dr. Miller is an active and recognized member of the scientific community, being a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the National Society of Professional Engineers, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the Society for Science and the Public, the Creation Science Fellowship, and the Creation Research and Creation Biology Societies. He has participated in presentations at the Institute of Navigation Global Navigation Satellite Systems Conference (2007) and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Bioengineering Conference (2007), and has also conducted presentations at the Institute of Navigation’s International Technical Meeting (2009) and the Joint Service Data Exchange/Institute of Navigation Joint Navigation Conference (2009).


Corey Sawyers

Corey Sawyers

Corey Sawyers and his wife of 25 years, Melody, have three sons: Garrett, Gordon, and Gannon. Corey began preaching at the age of 15, filling in at his home congregation (Liberty) and in congregations throughout Northwest Tennessee. He preached full-time for 10 years at the Macedonia congregation while running the family monument business before moving to Colorado to train at Bear Valley. Since graduating, he has worked as the preacher for the East Wood congregation (Paris, TN), he also served as the minister of education/involvement for the Bear Valley congregation in Colorado and currently is the pulpit minister in Martin, Tennessee.
He has a BA degree as well as a Masters degree from Bear Valley Bible Institute of Denver.


Michael Houts

Michael Houts

Dr. Michael Houts has over 20 years of experience in the field of nuclear engineering, specializing in space nuclear power and propulsion. He received his PhD in Nuclear Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Dr. Houts worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory for 11 years, where he held a variety of positions including Team Leader for Criticality, Reactor, and Radiation Physics and Deputy Group Leader of the 70 person Nuclear Design and Risk Analysis group.
Dr. Houts has been employed by NASA for 9 years, and is currently Nuclear Research Manager at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center.
He is a member of the American Nuclear Society and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Dr. Houts has authored papers on a variety of subjects, including space nuclear power and propulsion, actinide transmutation, tritium production, radiation shielding, and others. Dr. Houts currently serves on NASA’s Nuclear Systems Working Group and the Radioisotope Power Systems Standing Review Board.


Dan Owen

Dan Owen

Dr. Dan Owen has been an evangelist since 1974. For the past 25 years he has been the evangelist for the Broadway Church of Christ in Paducah, Kentucky. He is a regular adjunct instructor in the Bear Valley Bible Institute of Denver, Colorado and in the Bear Valley Bible Institute of Gorlovka, Ukraine. He is one of the creators and administrators of globalpreachertraining.com, an educational resource site for ministers and teachers.
He is a regular contributor to Gospel Advocate magazine. He is the host of a series of 12 T.V. programs called “Biblion: Bible Mysteries Revealed.” He is married to Cynthia Owen (40 years in August), and has three grown children and four grandchildren. He specializes in courses in the Greek New Testament.


Eric Lyons

Eric Lyons

Eric Lyons is a graduate of Freed-Hardeman University, where he earned a B.S. with a double major in Bible and history, and an M. Min. Eric has served as a full-time member of the Bible Department at Apologetics Press since 2001. Eric and his wife Jana live in Wetumpka, Alabama, where Eric has also worked with the Wetumpka church of Christ since 2007, formerly as a minister and now as an elder.
Eric has authored or co-authored more than 20 books, including The Anvil Rings: Answers to Alleged Bible Discrepancies (Volumes 1-3), Reasons to Believe, Truth Be Told, Wonders of God’s Creation, and Behold! The Lamb of God.
In addition, he writes regularly for the Apologetics Press website, which receives millions of page views annually from users around the globe. Eric speaks frequently at seminars and Gospel meetings around the country.


Gary Massey

Gary Massey

Gary Massey has been preaching the gospel since he was a teenager. Gary earned Bachelor degrees in Bible and History from Freed Hardeman University and then entered law school at Samford University in Birmingham, AL.
Between college and law school, Gary married his college sweetheart, Michelle Hayes, from Waverly, Tennessee. Now, they have three wonderful children – Lauren, Elizabeth, and Mark.
Since 1998, Gary and Michelle have made their home in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Gary has been a minister at the Mountain Creek Church of Christ since 2000 and the regular pulpit minister there since 2004. In 2001, Gary founded his own law firm, serving the underprivileged who have been injured or taken advantage of by others. Gary also serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Tennessee Children’s Home and as an instructor for the Bible Land Passages Ministries.


Ralph Gilmore

Ralf Gilmore

Dr. Ralph Gilmore retired as a distinguished professor of Bible and Philosophy from Freed-Hardeman University after a 39 year tenure.
He has preached the gospel and has been associated with the churches of Christ as a preacher for over 50 years.
He now serves part-time as one of the preaching ministers at the Woodbury church of Christ in Woodbury, TN. He also continues an extensive speaking schedule.



John Moore

John Moore

John Moore is a native of Dripping Springs, Texas, John has served as an evangelist, teacher, preacher and minister of the gospel for over 30 years.
He and his wife Carla work with Bear Valley Bible Institute International, and serve as the directors of Bible Passages. Prior to his work with Bible Passages, John served as the pulpit minister for the Dripping Springs church of Christ, an instructor at the Southwest School of Bible Studies in Austin, and as a campus minister and director of the Bible chair at the University church of Christ in San Marcos, Texas. He is a certified public school teacher and a graduate of Southwest Texas State University, where he earned both a B.S. in Education and a Masters in Education in the department of Counseling and Psychological Services.
He has done postgraduate work at the Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest, Jerusalem University, Austin Graduate School of Theology, and Abilene Christian University where he was enrolled in the Master of Arts in Religious Studies program. He has worked extensively in educational programs of the church and has years of experience in assisting and directing youth church and leadership camps.
He is the narrator and author of Searching For Truth, and served from 2005 through 2008 as a co-editor of the monthly periodical The Gospel Journal. John is also the narrator and instructor of Learning to Use the Greek New Testament, a thorough study of New Testament Greek presented in 35 lessons on 13 DVDs.


Tim Lewis

Tim Lewis

Tim Lewis is a graduate of Oklahoma Christian University. He graduated in 1993 with a degree in English Education and obtained his Master’s Degree in Ministry in 1998.
He served as the Preacher / Youth Minister for the Mt. Vernon church of Christ in Mt. Vernon, Missouri for 8 years before moving to Oklahoma City to begin his work with the North MacArthur congregation in 2004.
He has written a book entitled, The Domino Effect: Changing Your Life One Decision at a Time.
Tim and his wife, Tawni, have two daughters, Macy and Callie, and one son Ryder
