Oh, give thanks to the LORD! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples! Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” (1 Chronicles 16:8,34) Just as the first pilgrims gathered to give thanks to God for the blessings of the harvest so long ago, this Thursday most Americans will gather around tables loaded with roasted meats, fall vegetables, crusty rolls, and sweets beyond measure.  Truly, the bounty of this rich nation has enabled it's citizens to flourish! God is good, isn’t He?! We have been so blessed! I cannot emphasize enough how great it is we’re dealing with challenges…because we’re growing. Due to our circumstances, I have been reading a lot lately on the ever-changing subject of “church growth.” It’s really an interesting term. I had a class at Bear Valley called “Church Growth.” There’s a genre of books and literature with the same designation. There are great thinkers, many among the Lord’s church, who are considered “experts” in this field. But, let’s think about this for a minute, shall we?
