Returning to our normal service on April 4th

Another week has past and we continue to see improvement in the COVID outbreak; albeit, a bit measured as some of the numbers are inching back up.  We continue to encourage each of you to remain steadfast in adhering to and maintaining the safety protocols.  It appears that we are beginning to see a light at the end of the tunnel and we do not want to slip up now and cause us to recede.  May God continue to surround each of us with his hand of safety!

Here are some reminders that we believe are full of hope:

On April 4th, we will be returning to our normal service times; 9:00 AM for bible class and 10:00 AM for worship.

Sunday 9AM Bible Class

  • The auditorium class will be taught by Jared who will be bringing lessons on “Strengthening your Grip;” a class on remaining strong in the Lord
  • The remote class will be taught by Clint who will be bringing lessons on “Christians in Real Life;” this class will teach how to cope with everyday living in this evil world. This class is specifically geared for the Young Adult/Young Family group

Wednesday 7PM Bible Class

  • The auditorium class will be taught by Richard who will be teaching from the book of Revelation
  • The remote class will be for the ladies only and be taught by Michelle Mendiola who will be teaching a class on “Spiritual Seasons”

On April 4th, we ask that each of you wear your name tags as well as wear your masks.  Since we have been separated for such a long time, we need to reintroduce ourselves to each other.

My thought for today involves the faithfulness of God and I want to use Psalm 36:5 as the basis for that thought.  Psalm 36:5 (NASB) –  Your lovingkindness, O LORD, extends to the heavens, Your faithfulness reaches to the skies. How wonderful it is, in an age where unfaithfulness abounds, to focus our gaze on Scriptures that point to the trustworthiness of our God.  Psalm 89:8 (NASB) –  O LORD God of hosts, who is like You, O mighty LORD? Your faithfulness also surrounds You.  Isaiah 11:5 (NASB) – Also righteousness will be the belt about His loins, And faithfulness the belt about His waist.  2 Timothy 2:13 (NASB) – If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.  For God to be unfaithful would be to act contrary to His nature, and if He ever was (we are only speculating because He could never do so), then He would cease to be God.

Focus with me on the text from Psalm 36:5.  We are told God’s faithfulness extends to the skies. This, I believe is the psalmist’s picturesque way of expressing the fact that far above all finite comprehension is the unchanging faithfulness of God. Everything about God is vast and incomparable, including His faithfulness. He never forgets a thing, never makes a mistake, never fails to keep a promise, never falters over a decision, never retracts a statement He has made, and has never breached a contract. Every declaration He has made, every promise He has given, every covenant He has struck is bestowed by His faithful character.  God has promised to us salvation through his son, if we will only obey him.  I believe that these scriptures and more, should easily convince us that God keeps his promises and that we have a home eternal waiting.  Adapted from the Every Day with Jesus Daily Bible.

Continue to be safe brethren and we anxiously wait for the time we can return to normal.
