“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalm‬ ‭147:3 It’s called contracture. It can happen after you are immobilized in a cast for a broken bone, such as a wrist.  The tendons may shorten and, along with the muscles, they become very stiff. Once the cast is removed, support is provided temporarily in the form of a brace, while the contractures are being worked out, stretched and the tissues are strengthened to once again be able to perform their functions. It is shocking how quickly the limb becomes unable to do the things it used to do. After a brief beginning last year, and a subsequent 2020 hiatus, we are super excited to announce that we are starting up our Kids’ Care Group again! The first event to ease us back into this group is a Valentine’s Day celebration. As we have many kids who are homeschooling, as well as schools not allowing Valentine’s Day card exchanges this year, we thought it would be fun for the kiddos to have a card exchange with their church friends. We are also planning a pizza party following the 11:00 service on February 14th. Here is what we need from anyone wanting to participate:Decorate your own box or bag and bring it to the church building NO LATER than February 7th (please make sure your name is on it). As is my habit, I decided to take advantage of the weather to take a walk through my neighborhood. As I turned the corner onto a familiar street on my route, I noticed a little patch of leaves near the edge of the sidewalk.  It seemed innocent enough.  At the same time, I glanced over my shoulder to look at a group of children walking home from school.   In that brief moment of backward distraction, I stepped forward with my left foot onto the patch of leaves.  My foot slipped, I went airborne,…
