Overboard for Jesus

Church
“But as for me, my prayer is to you, O Lord. At an acceptable time, O God, in the abundance of your steadfast love answer me in your saving faithfulness. . . Let not the flood sweep over me, or the deep swallow me up, or the pit close its mouth over me.”(‭‭Psalm‬ ‭69:13-15‬) Spring is in the air and most folks are getting ready to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities after the long winter.  Water sports are a favorite pastime here in Idaho, where we have plenty of naturally occurring and man-made water venues to enjoy in various ways from fishing to swimming to boating. My good friends were given a power boat this last winter and they are getting it ready to go onto the water with…

Returning to our normal service on April 4th

Returning to our normal service on April 4th

Church
Another week has past and we continue to see improvement in the COVID outbreak; albeit, a bit measured as some of the numbers are inching back up.  We continue to encourage each of you to remain steadfast in adhering to and maintaining the safety protocols.  It appears that we are beginning to see a light at the end of the tunnel and we do not want to slip up now and cause us to recede.  May God continue to surround each of us with his hand of safety! Here are some reminders that we believe are full of hope: On April 4th, we will be returning to our normal service times; 9:00 AM for bible class and 10:00 AM for worship. Sunday 9AM Bible Class The auditorium class will be…

Church
Full Capacity Sunday Service Starts 10 am April 4, 2021 We have now reached the one-year anniversary of the COVID pandemic.  One could have never envisioned that in the year 2020 the world would be brought to its knees by such a virus.  With all of the medical knowledge, advancements and technology, how could a virus like this win the day?  Certainly not something that anyone could have forecast. The good news that is now upon us is that the world is slowly winning the fight against this virus.  Vaccines are now being distributed and over the next few months, the concept of “herd” immunity appears to be in reach.  Many of our older members have received this vaccine and the concern that has always been at the forefront of the…

Broken

Broken

Church
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalm‬ ‭147:3 It’s called contracture. It can happen after you are immobilized in a cast for a broken bone, such as a wrist.  The tendons may shorten and, along with the muscles, they become very stiff. Once the cast is removed, support is provided temporarily in the form of a brace, while the contractures are being worked out, stretched and the tissues are strengthened to once again be able to perform their functions. It is shocking how quickly the limb becomes unable to do the things it used to do. Recently, I broke my wrist, and I was in a cast for only five weeks, and at least the same amount of time or more will be required for me to…
